The Fool Meets The Lovers
After learning so much from The Hierophant, it’s now time for The Fool to make some choices. He’s gained a lot of knowledge of tradition, maybe learned some lessons about conformity and the higher good, but he must decide what will be his personal belief system.

The Lovers are intrinsically about choice. The Fool’s head may be spinning. He’s learned so much and now has to not only decide what his truth is, but he is also seeking balance.
Is it the balance of a relationship, as well as his internal halves?
What does he stand for?
Is it time to share?
Do two become one?
Is this just about relationships?
We see the man looking at the woman but the woman looking up at an angel. Seeing the man through the lens of earthly and material, and the woman through the lens of spiritual, it looks like he attains his connection to the spiritual plane almost through her.
The Fool is being asked to be open to giving and receiving.
The Lovers stand with their hands open, naked in raw vulnerability and ask The Fool to be open as well, all while being blessed from above. Behind her stands the Tree of Knowledge with a snake wrapped around it. If this represents material desire surrounded by temptation, we can see that she is paying attention to something higher.
This card is associated with the Gemini twins, but it isn’t always just about romantic relationships. The two that become one may also be internal. It’s time to choose.
Will he make the right choices?
The only way to make good choices is to choose who he wants to be in this world and stand in his own truth. Sharing his truth with someone else is also a matter of choice.
Who will he choose to be?
Stay true to your beliefs and the choice is an easy one, my man.
