Conjure & Magick Waters

December 20, 2020 By Willow Leave a Comment

Water water every hare…. I love Bugs.

Let’s talk about water.

Water is a conduit for spirit in ancestor work. It’s lubricates that connection, but using water in magick is all about sympathetic energies and symbolism.

Moon Water is something we use to harness the power of the moon phase, and can be made in any phase. Waxing for attraction and waning for banishing. The moonlight itself doesn’t have to shine on it, it’s all energy. We can add crystals and herbs to enhance and infuse with our intention, meaning what will we use it for?

Rose of Jericho Water The water it blooms in and can be used for protection.

Love Water This is probably just from my family, but love water is used to just top off beverages and made with love related personal concerns. Use your imagination.
If ya want him faithful, gotta love ’em up is what mammaw used to say.

Storm Water Used to stir things up. Think of a peaceful day then a storm hits. Boom.

Hurricane Water Water is from a hurricane. Like storm water but with the power of a hurricane.

Lightening water is water collected when there is lightening and good heating things up. Crossing or healing work.

River water is collected from a river and can used for all types of removal. Just as the river keeps flowing and moving, it will take all with it.

Stagnant water. Like old, still dirty pond water or swamps and even inside tree stumps. Dirty water = dirty work.BUT stump water and the spirit of the tree can help with healing works too.

Tar water. It used to be easy to get tar water back in the day. When I was a kid they tarred the streets and covered in gravel, but now we have asphalt and concrete. Tar water is good for protection and uncrossing and even for the reverse. Seriously, tar water is a post all of it’s own.

Holy water. Water blessed by the church. Protection, healing and also adds POWER to your work. For this, you can tip on into the Catholic church for, don’t even have to practice. Just don’t tell them or they’ll kick your ass to the curb.

Chamber Lye. Yeah, urine. Personal concern, or marking your territory. Lots to be said here. Mama Starr talks about it going sour when closed up. Did you know that urine when it comes out of your body is sterile? Did you know that freezer jars and witches bottles with urine isn’t conjure work? This needs it’s own post too lol

Fresh water. Rainwater, spring water, well water, creek water. Used in spirit workings to refresh the spirits of said work. Think fresh, clean, cool and revitalizing.

Toilet water
Yes, water from the damn toilet. Do I really have to say it?

Blue water. Don’t touch it or mammaw will beat that ass 😂 It’s made from laundry bluing….which I bet y’all don’t know about. You add to river water and petition the spirits of the river to help you see what you need to see during divination. This is old old stuff. You can also add to washings and protection work.

Dishwater
Funny thing, Derwood’s old band was called the Dishwater Psychics. He ain’t and they weren’t and when I laughed I had to explain this to him way back in the day. If your house is fightin’, work some peaceful vibes into the dishwater and throw it out the front door.If you’ve kept reading, then you might be wondering if I am going to go here, and hell yeah I am.

WAR WATER. Oohhh. Throwing a jar against someone’s door today will land your ass in the joint, so don’t do that. Back in the day, you made it and threw at your enemies door to “cut” them and start a war. Plus, that’s a violent smash, but you can’t do that. To make it, get some storm or hurricane water, add rusted nails, broken glass, rose thorns, needles and dirt where three dogs have fought in the yard. Dirt from your enemy’s yard, some Spanish moss, urine, sulfur. There are so many variations it’s crazy. You’ll have to ask the oracle about this one if it’s not part of your tradition. Southern Conjure and Hoodoo have their own, as well as other paths. It’s just nasty water filled with petitions, prayers and intentions that you must work before use. You must be careful with this or you will, in fact, cross yourself up in the mix.
