Starbuck Pink Drink Copycat for Self-Love
I love strawberries and I love the Pink Drink from Starbucks, so it is only natural that I want to make my own. Love Starbucks but I don’t love that price tag and let’s face it….I’m 2 cents cheaper than Kroger anyway.
Self-love isn’t selfish, it is necessary so what is better than laying in the tub or out in the yard on the grass or out in the woods with the essence of magical strawberry? Nothing.
Uses: love, luck, attraction
Strawberries are fun and flirty and according to Lexa Rosean in her Encylopedia of Magickal Ingredients, they can be used in spells to attract extramarital affairs or to force a change in partners. Damn.
Scott Cunningham says in his Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs that strawberries are served as a love food and the leaves are carried for luck. Pregnant women may wish to carry a small packet of strawberry leaves to ease their pregnancy pains.
With such a connection with love and attraction, I love the idea of making this drink for myself as I relax, especially if doing so during the time of reflection in the balsamic moon phase. It just fits for me.
To start, I wanted to share something about the base. At Starbucks, the base is strawberry acai tea, but the only tea I found was strawberry hibiscus and it was delish! Someone else said to try the OceanSpray White Cran Strawberry and it was delish too! Just go with what you can find I say. Seriously, they were both so good! I just chilled both beforehand so I made 3 cups of tea, put it in a mason jar and popped in the fridge.
- Strawberry tea or juice as seen above
- Strawberry simple syrup (this is optional. I actually order strawberry puree added at starbucks but I make this and had it) Here is as good recipe if you need it: https://icouldgiveafork.com/simple-strawberry-syrup/
- Freeze dried strawberries – only if you like the ones they add at Starbucks. Doesn’t do anything really for the flavor
- Half and Half
- Oat milk, almond milk or your milk of choice
- Vanilla flavoring (I use the one for my coffee)
- Sweetner of choice
Brew your tea and put it in the fridge to cool or use the juice already cooled. Add about 3/4 full in your glass.
Add 3 pumps of vanilla flavoring and the strawberry simple syrup.
Add your sweetener of choice. I use one pack of Truvia but you can add whatever it is you use.
Add your milk to taste. However light you like it.
Add your freeze-dried strawberries if you have any.
I will take half and half and add to my milk frother. To that I add 3 pumps of vanilla and make a cold foam vanilla foam.
How I order from Starbucks
I place my order like so:
I need a venti pink drink, with 7 pumps of sugar-free vanilla, oat milk, add strawberry puree, and vanilla cold foam.
This recipe copycats that to a T! I swear, this is super good! Go love yourself some strawberry goodness and take a moment to relax and reflect. Love yourself better than anyone else can!
