Cascarilla is used for banishing and protection and simply made out of crushed eggshells.
This powder can also be pressed into chalk and used to draw a circle of protection or to draw sigils. Discharge could even be just letting the wind carry it away.
The cascarilla powder can be used in a number of ways:
- Add to mop bucket for a floor wash to cleanse your house
- Make into candles
- Spread in the 4 corners of your house for protection
- Spread across your threshold to ward off people like brick dust
Wash your eggshells and dry them completely – then grind them in your mortar and pestle or in a food processor. Make sure when washing to get the inner membrane out or it will be hard to grind them.
There are many things we can use for protection, so when you think of things to add to your magical workings, think of what they symbolize.
