Sleeping Pouch

MAGIC

I must say, I amaze myself with my magic. I’m still a baby witch but I am a sponge for knowledge. I love to learn and I love to create even more.

My mom used to make us lavender pouches when we were kids to help relax us as we drifted off to sleep. As an adult I have tried this, and while it helps me fall asleep, I rarely stay asleep for long. Most days I am tired and cannot accomplish everything I would like to. Until I took the pouch one step further.

This is a fairly simple spell and easy for beginners.

For this spell you will need:

-Two drawstring pouches – One must be a fabric pouch.

-3 parts dried lavender

– 1 part dried sage

– Essential oils

– Charged crystals

Begin by meditating and directing your focus to the task at hand. I personally like to light some incense, turn out the lights and sometimes have some quiet music in the background. Remember this is your magic, so do what feels right to you.

I created a sleeping blend roller ball a while back. Using Doterra oils I mixed: 20 drops Lavender, 20 drops Balance, 5 drops Eucalyptus, and filled the rest of the jar with a carrier oil.

I find this blend to be very calming. If you have another blend or oils you feel would work better for you, use that. This is your magic.

Taking my fabric pouch I add 3 parts dried lavender and 1 part dried sage. I hold the bag shut and shake it to mix it as much as possible.

Then I lay out my crystals and with sleep being my focus I begin to pick which ones will help with my sleep. I always include Amethyst, Rose Quartz and a protection stone like Black Tourmaline. I place these in the second pouch and put it inside the fabric pouch.

You can use whatever crystals you would like, this is what I have found works well for me. Just make sure they are cleansed and charged. You also don’t have to put the crystals in a separate pouch. It felt right to me, so that’s why I did it. This is your magic, do what feels right.

Using the oil blend I draw a Sigil for sleep on the back of the fabric pouch.

To learn more about Sigils check out White Witch Grimoire’s Sigil course. I learned so much from it. It really helped me step up my magic.

Finally, before bed, I sit on the bed and recite the following while holding the pouch:

Its time to sleep neath Mother Moon
Don’t let the morning come too soon
When I wake be full of rest
Then I’ll always feel my best.
It’s time to sleep through the night.
’til Father Sun brings me the light.
So mote it be

Place the pouch under your pillow or in your pillowcase and lay down for bed.

I hope this helps anyone who has sleeping problems like I do.

Blessed be.
