Every good witch is warded at all times.
What is a ward and why should you create them?
Warding is a way to protect yourself or your space and keep things away from you. They are energy barriers. They help protect you by blocking anything negative, in a nutshell. You can block spirits, demons, entities, even deities if you’re powerful, and that witch down the street who keeps sending you bad vibes and bullshit.
I keep my person and my space warded at all times.
Period.
There are personal and spacial wards, but for today let’s talk about how to ward your sacred space in a very simple yet very effective way.
There are more involved rituals using the elements, but this is something simple and powerful you can do as well.
Your mind is a beautiful thing and your thoughts, intentions and EMOTIONS are key. Hold the FEELING of being protected, witches
First and foremost, I want to explain the differences between a pentagram and a pentacle
A pentagram is the 5 pointed star. The 5 points represent the elements of air, fire, earth, water and spirit. It stands for spiritual shielding and dominion over the elements. Power, balance and protection.

A pentacle is a pentagram with a circle around it and represents eternity and unity of all elements. This is the direct and indirect relation of one element to another and the connectivity. The circle around the pentagram symbolizes light, love and wholeness.

There are many different ways to ward, but this is how to ward your space using a banishing pentagram.
First and foremost, clean up your space. By this I mean clean it up. Get rid of the dust bunnies and wash your floors. When my house is messy, so is my mind.
Unblock that road.
After, you are going to do a spiritual cleansing. You can do this by smudging, burning incense or even sound.
The goal here is to clean up the energy.
Open your windows and smoke it out or sit in the middle of the room and play your singing bowl until you feel cleaner vibes in your space. Do what works for you.
Next, you are going to clean up your own energy. If your mind is filled with baneful thoughts or self loathing, stop it. Get into a meditative state, align your chakras and get your head together.
For those who have a hard time with meditation, just sit quietly and talk to yourself like a lover. And by that I mean speak to yourself as you would speak to someone you love.
Affirmations work wonders here!
At this point, you can cast a circle and call in your deities or ancestors, but really, you can accomplish this with just a banishing pentagram.
Focus on protecting your space and walk into the center of the room you want to ward.
Draw a banishing pentagram in the air in front of you, visualizing it as if you are looking down into the room and the pentagram is over the entire room.
HOLD THE FEELING OF PROTECTION!! BELIEVE IT. FEEL IT. LOVE IT. BE THANKFUL FOR IT.
To draw the banishing pentagram:
Start at the bottom left corner on the earth point and go up to the spirit point, continuing in a clockwise fashion.
You’re simply drawing a 5 pointed star in the air using the best magic wand here – your hand.
Think of it like sending everything up to spirit and getting rid of all the shit down here. Send it up and shut the door. Send it all up, up and away.
Believe in the protection.
This is key. Clean it up, clean it out, lock the door. This sacred space is now clean and protected. Every once in a while, or every time you clean the room, get your mind right, burn incense, light a candle, play with your bowl – whatever you want to do and “re-fresh” the pentagram. Keeping yourself and your space warded will always make you feel better.
I would love to try this out, but i’m still not quite sure how to draw the banishing pentagram itself-
Draw a star in the air, like the star you get for good job.
Start at the bottom left corner on the earth point and go up to the spirit point, continuing in a clockwise fashion.
You’re simply drawing a 5 pointed star in the air using the best magic wand here – your hand.
